This is the first of a two-part feature looking at the personal highlights of anime and manga from all Anime UK News writers. This first part looks at anime, both streamed and released on DVD and Blu-Ray in the UK. personal choices mentioned include Yuri!!! On Ice (pictured), ERASED, Assassination Classroom and Death Note.

On The Box review: We Are X

While I might not be able to cover anime for On The Box anymore, I can still cover other Japanese-related things, like music and films. Thus here is a link to my review of We Are X, a documentary about the rock band X Japan, that is being screened at the London Film Festival.

The band does have an anime connection – their song “Forever Love” was used as the theme song for the anime film version of Clamp’s X (The Beginner’s Guide to Anime, No. 70), but it is not mentioned in the documentary.
